Overview
For the Wing Champ Racing Series, a karting league in upstate New York that blends grassroots racing with community fundraising, I designed a set of six trophies. I handled concept development, photo editing, and production ready design independently. The trophies were bold and personalized, reflecting both the sport and the series’ identity.
The design drew from the sport itself, incorporating a wing-shaped plate at the center to highlight each racer’s photo and name, with class information displayed cleanly on the base. I matched our gold aluminum dibond to the olive in the series’ logo, creating a subtle material-to-brand connection that helped tie the trophies to the series visually.

Why It Worked
The awards balanced strong branding with individual recognition, creating pieces that felt consistent across the series yet tailored to each driver. By translating the logo into material and color choices and drawing form directly from the sport, the designs delivered trophies that were both visually striking and true to the Wing Champ Racing Series mission.
